EU Tobacco Scandal Will Help Ecig Industry in General

Posted by on January 14, 2013 . 0 Comments.

While you may not realize it, conventional tobacco manufacturers are very afraid of what electronic cigarette manufacturers can do to their customer base. Not only does an electronic cigarette offer increased levels of convenience and fewer health risks, people that switch to e-cigs can also break addictions that truly feed the entire tobacco industry.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise that cigarette manufacturers are doing everything they can to make sure ecigs do not become legal in the European Union.

What is the Nature of the Scandal?

Essentially, EU Health Commissioner Dahl was supposedly approached by manufacturers of conventional tobacco products. According to an ongoing investigation, Dahl was bribed by one or more companies in exchange for ensuring that you cannot buy electronic cigarette in the EU. Interestingly enough, all of the negative materials written about e cigarette cartridges at the legislative level come from Dahl in one way or another.

Interestingly enough, even positive information about e cigarette cartridges and their benefits is either reversed or deleted from these reports.

Why Will Ecigs Prevail?

Here are just a few reasons why electronic cigarette kits will eventually be sold in the EU with little, if any difficulty:

  • Emerging evidence points to an overwhelming reduction in cancer deaths for those who use ecigs
  • ecigs can be used without producing odors, stains, and other problems commonly associated with tobacco smoke
  • Consumers looking to save money already know that ecigs cost less than conventional tobacco
  • ecigs can be used in work places and other settings to provide clean nicotine delivery when it is needed most by those addicted to it.

Is There a Worse Scandal on the Horizon?

There is no question that many people are fascinated by the scandal erupting around Dahl. As they watch this drama unfold, they may not realize that an even bigger scandal has been kept under wraps for decades. In particular, did you know that Polonium 110 is an extremely poisonous and radioactive substance found in tobacco products? In fact, recently, Yasser Arafat’s body was exhumed to try and determine if Polonium 110 caused his death.

Even though conventional tobacco product manufacturers have been trying to remove Polonium 110 from tobacco since the 1960‘s, it is impossible to do so. Unfortunately, tobacco plants absorb this radioactive substance from fertilizers as well as soil and water contaminated by radioactive fallout. Needless to say, as more information comes out about the fact that over 11000 people die each year from tobacco related Polonium 110 exposure, people will be wondering why politicians didn’t do something about it sooner.

When it comes to scandals surrounding consumer health, few can rival a number of problems surrounding tobacco in the EU. While many are focusing on Dahl’s bribery issues, there are many other things that consumers should be aware of. In particular, those who are afraid to try ecigs should realize that getting away from radioactive poison found in conventional tobacco is sure to provide a significant advantage.
